The 2012 Volkowitsch Golf Open will be continuing the Heli-Drop Golf Ball Raffle; also Maggie Belle Herr will be donating yet another amazing painting for the auction, along with other items we will be auctioning after the golf event.
NEW this year we will be awarding the BEST DRESSED “PINKED OUT” team in the event, the crazier the better! We will also be introducing some new exciting holes to challenge even the most seasoned golfers.

About the Volkowitsch Golf Open
The Volkowitsch Golf Tournament was started in 2010 by Loren Balkowitsch and Ryan Volk to raise money for cancer patients locally and support the efforts to someday find a cure. The inspirational story behind this event began in 2003 when Melissa Balkowitsch was diagnosed with breast cancer. Missy underwent surgery and years of treatment for her battle with cancer. Missy lost her battle against breast cancer last April. The Volkowitsch Open is our way of keeping Missy’s spirit alive and to hopefully inspire others to join the fight against cancer.
