Friday April 29 - Sunday, May 1st
We walk for our mothers, sisters, girlfriends, grandmothers and our daughters!
We walk for each other to lower the number of people affected by breast cancer this year.
We walk to raise funds for research to prevent breast cancer and to save lives.
3 days / 30 miles - join us for all 3 days, 1 day or just a few miles!
Friday April 29 - begins at 4:30pm: L Woods Park in Lewisville, TX - 5 miles
Saturday April 30 - begins at 7am: Woods Park (Post Oak Rd) Corinth, TX - 15 miles
Sunday May 1 - begins at 7am at 1301 Summit Drive in Lewisville, TX - 10 miles
30WALK© is committed to providing activities, tools and educational details that aggressively champions the opportunities to prevent & lower the risk of breast cancer for our daughters & ourselves.
• Activities: monthly training walks, weekly training walks 6 weeks prior to each event, 2 annual events – each 30 miles / 3 separate days with flexible participation options in April and October to promote an active lifestyle, lower the risk of breast cancer and raise funds for research.
• Tools: Monthly newsletters with low-fat recipes, website (coming March 2011) that will provide a page for and about girls 8-18, as well as access to on line registration for events, calendar of events and fundraising opportunities.
• Educational Details: monthly newsletters, brochures, current breast cancer research findings, excerpts from discussions with local organizations with actions we can take, starting at a young age, to help prevent a breast cancer diagnosis later in life.
